Volunteers Come from Around the U.S.
"When I saw your organization's name on my registration materials, my heart jumped. What had I taken on? I'm so happy that we were able to make light work of your office tasks so that you could focus on the real work of CSTWT." -Karen Tobo from Lafayette, CO
More than 7,000 women came to St. Louis from all over the country for Assembly 2010, the National United Methodist Women's conference, April 30-May 2. Twelve of these magnificent women chose to come to CSTWT to volunteer for a day before the conference as part of the gathering’s community service component. After a delicious breakfast prepared by CSTWT’s board of directors and an overview of CSTWT, the women broke into three teams and participated wholeheartedly in office reorganization and filing, labeling invitations to the then-upcoming International Play Ground performance and redecorating three rooms in the new expansion area for individual and group therapy at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Shaw Boulevard. Kristin Bulin, executive director, reports, "These women were terrific! They came ready for a big day with smiles and lots of energy. We continue to be challenged with limited space for the amount of programming we provide on a daily basis, so organization, creativity and partnering with others are key to giving our clients quality services in a professional atmosphere."
